DESCRIPTION:A Letter Written By:\n\nCommander Henry Diaz De Leon\n\n\n\nMemorial Day is more than the end of a three day weekend.\n\n\n\nOne of VFW's most sacred obligations is remembering the\n\nnation's defenders who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.  It is\n\nup to us to set an example for others to follow.\n\n\n\nWe are the nation's largest group of War Veterans and we have\n\nserved in harm's way. Many of us know intimately\, what it is like\n\nto lose friends on faraway battlefields. This is why we\, as VFW \n\nmembers\, should always strive to keep their memories alive and\n\ndemonstrate to others how to observe Memorial Day.  Our \n\ncommunities expect us to show them how to do it correctly.  \n\n\n\nAs Commander of John Wiebel Post 2932 of Aransas Pass\, I\n\ninvite the communities to please attend Monday\, May 27th\, \n\n10:00 am at Veterans Memorial Park in Aransas Pass.
